A Tribute To John Hartford Live From Mountain Stage is a live all-star tribute to the late John Hartford originally recorded September 24, 2000 in Nashville, TN for the Mountain Stage radio program. In addition to classic songs and stories from Hartford himself, the cd features live performances by Kathy Mattea, Tim O'Brien, Bela Fleck, Riders In The Sky, Gillian Welch, John Cowan, The Jamie Hartford Band, and Norman Blake, many of whom perform their favorite Hartford classic.
