Seeing John Hartford performing his wonderful music helped me to think outside the bluegrass musical box. His shows were absolutely awesome, inspiring me to try many different things on different instruments. He also inspired me to investigate my own family history, as both of my great-grandfathers were riverboat pilots. Thank you John, we miss you.
