I saw John several times in the passed 25 years since I
was turned on to the man and his music and what remains
my most vivid memory of him is his kindness. Yes, his
music and talent was like no other, but he was more than
a musicmaker. He treated his fans like they were family,
always taking time for a talk and have pictures taken when
possible. The last time I saw him my mother and I were
greeted with big bear hugs and sat and talked with us for
about 15 minutes. Yes, he remembered the lady who had
forgotten to put film in her camera a few years before
(my mother) and allowed a picture to be taken of the 3
of us together. It is a picture I will cherish all my
life. This fan and her mother will miss him like missing
a lifetime friend. Our love goes with you, John.
