My 6th grade Voice teacher made us watch Glen
Campbell's show to see a "pro" sing ... being the
proverbial pre-teen ... I quickly lost sight
of Glen and focused completely on the really cute
guy named "John" that played the banjo. It was
love at first sight.
John's tunes filled my home from 6th grade on.
As our children came into the world they were
bounced to sleep by Aereo Plain and cheered up with
"Dancin' in the Bathtub".
When my youngest son read about John's death a
few days ago...for the first time in his young
life ... I saw him cry for a loss.
We will miss him terribly.
