Enjoyed your entry. I had seen John Hartford around that same time at the Guthrie theatre in Minneapolis. He did his tapping/clogging. I wonder if he worked the woman pinching him into the act intentionally. On his last recording that I recently purchased-the tribute, he tells about a woman who told him she wished he'd play something she knew so she could tell if he was any good. Atleast she was listening to his music and not just oggling over him. When I attended the performance at the Guthrie, there were mostly young women in the audience. Mr. Hartford had a show of his own when I was a kid and my family teased me about having a crush on him. But, it wasn't really a crush. It was an admiration for his talent and for being a gentleman. I don't even remember anything about his TV show but it would be interesting to see those shows again.
