Great idea. I would make the trip from Virginia to play and tell a story or two. I'd play Let Him Go On Mama, cuz John gave me that song. We were jammin' one day in front of some people, me on guitar and John on the fiddle. I started playing Let Him Go On Mama, and John backed up on fiddle while I played and sang. When we finished, someone from the audience asked if I wrote the song, cuz i've been known to write a song or two around these parts. I replied that I'd wished I had written it, but it was John's. John said "aw shucks Lance,you can have it." First time anyone gave me a song and it was from my top hero, mentor, and musician's musician. Damn, I miss that good ole boy. Your still in my heart and mind every day John.
